Incredible work on these steppe history articles. There is very little about them in english.
Fun fact. I was reading about a kpop idol who is descended from the korean Gyeongju Sol clan. That clan had an ancestor who was the Uyghur Khaganate's Finance Minister.
That's very interesting, what is their name? I'd interesting to read about this, plus I plan to write more on the Uyghurs so knowing about the minister will be useful
Amazing read on the history of Uyghurs and their Khaganate, subsequent downfall, and the artististic/cultural Renaissance in what is now Sinkiang(Xinjiang). Hats off to you sir!
Yakshi mises! That is the only Uyghur language I learned from living 8 months in Xinjiang. There’s still some ethnic hard feelings tween them and the Kyrgyz and Kazakh. Great writing!

What an incredible and informative article! Perhaps the best introduction to the Uyghur Khaganate and its historical context!
You also did a great job presenting the Uyghurs as a cautionary tale of decadence that leads to the decline and fall of empires.
Thank you!
Most interesting! Thank you for your work.

Absolutely brilliant. A lot to digest, but very informative and well researched.
Thank you!
This must be what inspired the concept of Tataria. Incredible article.
I think Tataria comes from the Mongol period, and thank you!
Magnificent, thank you
